NORTHEAST GEORGIA AMATEUR RADIO CLUB (NEGARC)
April 2016 Meeting – Minutes

The meeting was called to order by NEGARC President Dick Ashworth WB4HXF on 7 April 2016 in the Board Room of the Commerce Public Library.

Program:
Bob KE4JLL showed a video presentation, "The Ultimate Bug-Out Mobile-Portable."

Reports:

Treasurer:
Frank N4KP reported a balance of $245.30 in the club account.

Repeaters:
Jim K4LCP stated that the repeaters are working well, but the building roof is leaking. He suggested that tin be used to repair the roof. Jim K4LCP, Dick WB4HXF, and David will meet 12 April (Tue.) 10 am to examine/repair.

Public Service:
Bob KE4JLL reminded everyone of upcoming events:
16 April (Sat.), UGA G-Day Game, be there at noon, kickoff at 4
7 May (Sat.), Athens Twilight 5K, requested club participation for the first time
4 June (Sat.), Jackson Brevet

ARES:
Bob KE4JLL announced that the Region E Full-Scale Exercise would be held 3 June (Fri.). More into to come at the May meeting. He also said that a Jackson-Banks ARES meeting is tentatively scheduled 10 May (Tue.) at the EOC in downtown Jefferson at 6:30 pm.

Skywarn:
Dick WB4HXF reported that there had only been one weather net called. That was done today due to a severe weather threat.

Old Business:
Georgia QSO Party: Dick WB4HXF announced that he wouldn't be able to attend. Due to those present having planned to attend other events or schedule conflicts, he asked everyone to try and participate from their home.

ARRL Field Day 2016 (25-26 June): Dick WB4HXF stated all plans looks good for the Nicholson location to be used again this year. More info will be given at the May meeting.

New Business:
Bob KE4JLL announced that the Athens Radio Club will be doing some work with PSK-31 digital communications, probably in May.

Jim K4LCP asked for a list of both current and past club members. Frank N4KP will get that information to him.

The next meeting was announced for 5 May 2016 in the Commerce Public Library.
The drawing for the door prize was held. A 2016 Field Day mug was won by Kay.
A motion to adjourn was made and seconded.
