The September 2017 monthly meeting of the Northeast Georgia Amateur Radio Club was held on Thursday, September 7th at the Commerce Public Library in the Meeting Room.

At 6:30 pm the meeting was called to order by Dick WB4HXF, President.

The Treasurer, Frank N4KP, was not able to present, but Dick said that he had asked him to report that $220.95 was the bank balance. The amount hasn't changed within the past month.

Bob KE4JLL, was unable to be present, but reported through Dick that both repeaters are working well.

Dick advised that forecasts from the NWS indicate that our area would be impacted by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irma. He added that a weather net would be conducted on the club repeater if conditions warranted.

Dick urged both ARES and Skywarn members should stay aware of conditions and be prepared for possible severe weather activation.

There was call for old business. The group discussed fund-raising briefly. Dick stated that 50/50 would start soon. There will be a drawing at the October meeting for an antenna.

In new business, Bobby KN4I reported that he had attended the solar eclipse event on August 21 in Blairsville with Bob KE4JLL. They did a demo of the capabilities of the interoperability trailer while there. Bobby also reported that the Jackson County trailer is having some upgrades done.

Dick stated that he had been at Black Rock Mountain State Park for the solar eclipse. He reported that he had participated in the QSO party from that location.

Dick made a call for any other business. None was presented.

The meeting was adjourned by Dick at 7:00 pm.
